My peep
hole series started from something as simple as taking a
photo through a hole. I had a single image that I knew struck
me in some special sense and I developed that into what I
called my peep hole series. I liked the aesthetic because
what I thought it represented to me and I developed a way to
carry it around. By creating a sleave for my lens with a
small hole I was able to control the vignetting to create the
apperence of a peep hole.
The thought of a peep hole in a personal space is as intimate
of a perspective as can be had. this series was an
examination of a space and a couple of people that reside
there. The perspective is one that feels like a welcome
viewer with no hint of discomfort or no invasion of privacy.
The actions of the people and content of the space is a
reflection of general activities.
